HUMMUS2

CURRENT STATUS: 

Initial phase

 

•HUMMUS2 will be an experiment with the same nitrogen fixing bacteria (rhizobia) as HUMMUS1 but used to inoculate plants. It will be conducted on board of the International Space Station for ten days in a Cubesatsatellite under lunar gravity to see whether or not this effects the growth of the legumes.

•Wearecurrently in the phase of recruiting engineers to assist on working with the satellite, Hydra1, donated by the International Space University , which had been on the ISS in January 2019 investigating growth of plants. We will be adapting the CubeSat for our experiment. 

•The biological experiments and methods are currently being written.
